Out now: NOTAMs !
There is no excuse for not reading the Notams and with version 1.3 of Pre-Flight you won't need one. As you enter origin destination and alternate fields, the application automatically extracts the notams for those fields, the relevant fields en-route and for the FIRs you will cross. If the notam text contains coordinates, it will be shown on the map along with your intended route. The notam source is the FAA and it covers the USA as well as Europe, Australia, South America as well as most other countries.

NOTAMs are downloaded from the FAA as soon as you have entered or modified an origin, destination or alternate field. Information on the notams can be found in the flight details screen. Once you have downloaded the notams they are kept for twelve hours so they can be reviewd during flight. Changing any of the fields in your plan forces a reload of the NOTAMs.
If you select the notams, a list of NOTAM sources is shown, starting with your departure, arrival and optional alternate fields. Followed by en-route NOTAMs and finally the NOTAMs associated with the FIRs you fly through. Note that fields without active notams are colored grey.

NOTAM texts are parsed. Pre-Flight looks for geo coordinates that give an indication of the location the NOTAM applies to. If you select the map button on the bottom left corner, a map is shown with your route along with all NOTAMs in which a coordinate was found. If you select a NOTAM on the map you can review its details.
